This includes a commitment to developing our people and protecting the wider communities in which we operate, as well as the natural environment.
Velmont's approach to sustainability (represented by company standards, principles, reports and goals) is based on a set of important, globally recognized standards that are relevant to our corporate identity.
The most important and universal of these are the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As an international company, we recognize the importance of all 17 SDGs, but prioritize the ten areas where our business has the greatest impact. Velmont is a member of the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM), the global organization for the mining and metals industry, from 2015 to 2022. Velmont remains committed to adhering to the 10 ICMM principles in all aspects of its activities.
In the practice of sustainable development, Velmont believes that it is very important to follow the priorities of its own country and partner countries. It fully considers the standards of the National ESG Alliance and contributes to the goal of achieving common development with each country.
